This year’s Maker Faire Rome just ended, and we’re happy to report that our Polaris board caused quite a bit of attention.
The visitors had a chance to see hundreds of inventions and creations, at the Fiera di Roma. Maker Faire is famous for being open to all forms and levels of technical creation. So, you’re able to see everything from the newest technologies to imaginative DIYs.
The fair lasted three days and ended yesterday, on October 20th.
Polaris at Maker Faire Rome
We saw Polaris at the OKdo booth, as a part of the intelligent lighting control panel demo. The very same demo that the Riverdi team published last month. In short, it teaches you how to build a Philips Hue lighting control system with Riverdi IoT displays and Python.

Polaris is a Python programmable open IoT platform, designed for remote logging and Cloud applications. It is an excellent GPS/GLONASS vehicle tracker, available with 2G, 3G, LTE, NB-IOT modem. The Polaris application, available in Python Zerynth or Arduino, is open source so that it can be easily changed and customized.
